Srinagar, July 11, CNS: Parents and relatives of missing Kangan man, whose whereabouts are not known since 22nd June, assembled in Press Colony again on Saturday and once again sought his whereabouts.
The man, identified as Noorul Hassan Wani (37) S/O: Ghulam Hassan Wani resident of Preng village of Kangan tehsil in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district has been reported missing since June the 22nd.
Family sources had previously said that Noorul Hassan Wani had gone missing, while he was returning from the Nunner area of Ganderbal, where he ran a medical shop on the said date and had not returned home since then.One of his relatives told reporters that on a fateful day he was called by his father Ghulam Hassan at around 8.15 PM when he said that he was on his way home from Nunner in his car.
“That was the last time, the family heard from him”, he said. He said, “When Ghulam Hassan could not reach his son and he did not reach home at the expected time, he got worried and called him again, but his phone was switched off.
“Since then his phone is switched off and there is a clue about where he vanished”, added the relative.
Pertinently the vehicle of the missing man was found abandoned halfway between Nunner and Preng the next day.Ghulam Hassan, according to the family is a cancer patient and his wife is also ill and they have no one to look after them.
According to family sources, the missing person is survived by his parents, wife, and daughter.
Appealing Noorul Hassan to return back home if he has gone somewhere of his own, his close relative, a lady said. “The condition of his family is in very bad shape, plus he has a small daughter, who is asking about her father’’.Another relative of Mushtaq Ahmed said that family has registered a missing report with the police already, but so far not to any avail.
When asked, what is police saying about tracing the missing man, Mushtaq said, “We approach the police every day, but it is saying that investigation of the matter is on and it is looking for the missing man.”The family requested the authorities to help them to trace Noorul Hassan.
They also requested him to return back to his home, if he has gone anywhere out of his own will. (CNS)
