Srinagar:Hurriyat (M) chairman and Kashmir’s chief priest Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Friday said seeking resolution of Kashmir issue was not a crime.
“Asking for resolution of Kashmir issue is neither terror nor a crime,” said the Mirwaiz on Twitter after addressing a congregation at Jamia Masjid in Downtown Srinagar.
He said Kashmiri people and their leadership will continue to seek resolution of Kashmir issue.
"Govt. of India should not criminalise our political aspirations which are rooted in history and principle of justice. People and leadership will continue to press for its peaceful resolution," he said in a tweet.
