“Concerned JE didn’t respond to repeated calls”
Ganderbal 20 April (KNZ) :The residents of various areas of Sehipora Wayil and adjoining areas in Ganderbal district have complained of drinking water scarcity in the area from last couple of days.
According to the locals, many areas in Wayil including Sehipora are facing acute scarcity of drinking water .
Inhabitants said that their area has been facing an acute shortage of water for the last couple of days.
“We are facing water shortage from last 3-4 days, adding that the JE and concerned employees of the Jal Shakti department posted in the area are paying no heed to their problems” a local inhabitant said.
The inhabitants said from last 3-4 days they are not receiving drinking water through the “Gurez colony” pipeline laid by the Jal Shakti department, adding that the water crisis has hit their area & employees of Jal Shakti posted in the area are not paying any heed to the people grievances.
When KNZ News Agency tried to bring the issue into the notice of the concerned Junior Engineer Jal Shakti Department, Ganderbal, the concerned official did not respond to repeated calls.
AEE Jal Shakti Ganderbal Faizan Ahmad talking to this reporter over phone said, I will look into the matter.
Residents have appealed to DC Ganderbal to look into the matter. (KNZ)
