Srinagar, September 09: A fourteen year old girl was injured on Saturday evening near Imam Sahib in Shopian at during an encounter between militants and Goverment forces in the area.
Reports reaching GNS said that the girl Khusboo Jan D/O Fayaz Ahmad Wagay sustained a bullet wound in her right leg. Khusboo, a resident of Harmain was immediately shifted to nearby hospital where from she was referred to Srinagar Hospital for specialised treatment.
A police official while confirming the incident told GNS that they are ascertaining how the teenage girl received the bullet.
Pertinently, one militant has been killed in the gunfight so far in the area. (GNS)
