Ganderbal 18 Feb (KNZ):In a significant step towards forest conservation and women’s empowerment, the Sindh Forest Division Ganderbal has initiated a weekly program, Van Mahila Mitra, under the broader Ek Paid Maa Ke Naam campaign.

Lady officers from the Sindh Forest Division, the program focuses on raising awareness about afforestation and environmental protection. As part of this initiative, officers conduct door-to-door awareness campaigns, engaging local women and communities to actively participate in tree plantation drives.

The program aims to distribute 1.6 lakh plants, encouraging women to take a leading role in forest conservation. By involving communities at the grassroots level, the initiative fosters environmental responsibility while promoting sustainable development.

Through Van Mahila Mitra, the Sindh Forest Division demonstrates its commitment to both ecological preservation and women’s empowerment, ensuring a greener and more sustainable future(knz)
