Baramulla, Jan 05 : Sopore Police have successfully arrested a drug peddler and seized contraband substances in their ongoing efforts to eliminate drug-related issues from society.
On January 04, 2025, during a naka checking at Laiser Crossing, a police team led by SHO PS Dangiwacha, Inspector Aijaz Ahmad intercepted an Ecco Vehicle bearing registration no. JK05M-4854 driven by Muneeb Jabar Dar S/O Abdul Jabar Dar R/O Muqam Shaheedmir Bomai Sopore.
Upon searching the vehicle, the police recovered 1.028 kilograms of a substance resembling Cahras. A case (FIR No. 01/2025) has been filed under the relevant sections of the law, at Police Station Dangiwacha and an investigation has begun.
Sopore Police encourage the public to share any information related to narcotics or other crimes with the nearest police station or by dialing 112.
They urge the community to cooperate in the fight against drugs and assure that strict action will be taken against criminals as per the law.
