Baramulla, Dec 09: In continuation of its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Sopore Police have arrested one notorious drug peddler and recovered Psychotropic Substances from his possession.
A police party of Police Post Watergam headed by IC PP Watergam SI Bilal Ahmad under the supervision of SDPO Rafiabad Shri. Aabid Rashid Mir-JKPS and SHO PS Dangiwacha Insp. Khalid Aslam, during patrolling at Yedipora Lorihama apprehended one notorious drug peddler namely Bilal Ahmad Lone S/O Abdul Rashid Lone R/O Lorihama Rafiabad.
During the search Police Party was able to recover Psychotropic substance 80 capsules of SPASMOPROXYVON Plus from his possession.
In this regard, case FIR No. 77 under relevant sections of Law has been registered at Police Station Dangiwacha & investigation has been initiated.
Sopore police urges the common masses to give information regarding narcotics or any other crimes to the nearest police establishment or dial 112.
General Public is requested to cooperate with police in curbing the menace of drugs from the society. We reassure the community members that police will act tough against the criminals as per the law.
