Sopore, Jun 01: Sopore Police has deployed a GPS-enabled anklet on two bailed-out terror associates for better surveillance to track their movements.
This step has been taken after obtaining formal orders from the Hon’ble Court.
The accused persons 1. Aamar Mehraj Kaboo S/O Mehraj ud Din KaboonR/O Mahrajpora Sopore and 2. Waseem Manzoor Gazi S/O Manzoor Ahmad Gazi R/O Watergam Rafiabad were arrested in case FIR No. 185/2020 US 7/25, 27 of IA Act, 16, 18, 20, 23, 38 ULAP Act of Police Station Sopore and FIR No. 161/2019 U/S 7/25 IA Act 18, 39 ULAP Act of Police Station Dangiwacha respectively and have been enlarged bail by the Hon’ble Court.
These GPS anklets will be used to monitor the movement of the said terror associates and ensure that they don’t violate the bail conditions.
