Srinagar, February 24 : A fierce gunfight is underway in Shalgul forest in Bejbhera of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Wednesday.
Official sources told GNS that there was some confusion regarding the killing of militants.
However the official said that four militants are likely to be trapped inside the encounter site.
The gunfight is still going on and might take sometime as it’s deep forest.
Earlier, Reports reaching GNS that a joint team of Police and Army’s 3RR launched a cordon and search operation in Shalgul forest.
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off an gunfight.(GNS)
