Srinagar, Apr 16 (KS): Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Dr. Bilal Mohiuddin has said that the rescue operation at Gandbal Batwara will continue through the night to make efforts to recover the drowned persons’ from river Jhelum.
The DC, as per news agency Kashmir Scroll, said that the rescue operation is going on with full swing and will continue through the night.
“We have decided to continue with the ongoing rescue operation as the water flow is too heavy which may possibly wash down the drowned persons if we somehow aren’t able to trace them soon,” he said.
“Every possible effort is being made to locate the drowned persons’ and hope that we are able to find them sooner than later,” he added. (KS)
