Srinagar: Srinagar police on Wednesday claimed to have arrest three accused in a murder case of a youth.
Police in a statement said “On 11th Jan at 2150 hours Police Station Khanyar received information from reliable sources that near Dastageer Sahib Khanyar, some unknown persons have stabbed a person who has been shifted to SMHS hospital & declared dead on arrival at hospital.”
“On receipt of this information case FIR No. 03/2021 U/S 302, 120-B was registered at Police Station Khanyar & investigation was set into motion.”
The deceased was later identified as Zayan Chasti Son Syed M Ashraf Chasti resident of Rainawari Srinagar
‘During investigation, technical and circumstancial evidence was collected and eye witnesses were examined, thereby leading Investigating Officer to the accused involved in this heinous crime. The I.O. ascertained the involvement of the following three accused in this heinous crime namely: Mohammad Zahid Bhat son of Fida Ahmad Bhat resident of Ellahi Bagh Soura, Faizan Fida Bhat son of Fida Ahmad Bhat resident of Ellahi Bagh Soura, Wajid Altaf Kaullah son of Mohammad Altaf resident of Jabgri Pora Nowhatta Srinagar, statement added.
