Srinagar; 26th June 2022:On 21-06-2022 Police Station Shaheed Gunj received a written complaint from one Mst. Rukhsana W/O Javid Ahmad Mir R/o Dadi Kadal Zaindar Mohalla Habba Kadal to the effect that some unknown burglars entered into her rented room located at Dadi Kadal Zaindar Mohalla and stole Gold jewellery and cash.
Upon the receipt of this information, case FIR No. 51/2022 U/S 454, 380 IPC Stands registered in Police Station Shaheed Gunj and investigation was set into motion.
A team was constituted, after examining technical evidences and CCTV footages near the place of occurrence 01 accused person was identified. After strenuous efforts today on 25/06/2022 the accused person namely Younis Ahmad Mir S/O Mohammad Shafi Mir R/O Shah Mohalla, Ahmad Nagar, Srinagar was apprehended from Vatakaloo, Chadoora Budgam.
On his disclosure following items/Cash were recovered from his possession which he had kept inside his rented room located at Buchwara Dulgate and are as under:
- Gold Jewellery worth Rs.6,00, 000/-
- Cash Rs. 3,15,000/-
- Mobile Phone 02 No’s worth Rs.50,000/-
- Hand watches 03 No’s worth Rs.30,000/-
5.Power Banks 03 No’s worth Rs.5,000/- - Camera Sony worth Rs.1 5,000/
- Sound Box 01 No. Worth Rs. 1,000/-
Total worth of recovery made Rs 10,00,000/- approx.
Furthermore, the investigation of the case is going on and more recoveries are expected. The general public is advised to install CCTV cameras, to as it helps in solving such crimes.
