Srinagar, Dec 09: The Solar System Geometry Survey (SSGEOS) has issued a warning about the possibility of a significant seismic event following a convergence of four planetary conjunctions on December 6 and 7. This alignment, according to SSGEOS, could lead to stronger earthquakes, potentially reaching magnitudes between 6 and 7 around December 10.
SSGEOS also notes that Earth remains closely aligned with Venus and Mars, with an exact conjunction expected on December 12. They caution that critical lunar geometry involving Venus and Mars could result in above-average seismic activity, with the potential for a major earthquake (magnitude ≥7.8) between December 14 and 16.
While the correlation between planetary alignments and seismic activity is a subject of debate within the scientific community, SSGEOS emphasizes the importance of preparedness, especially in seismically active regions.
SSGEOS has not pinpointed exact locations but advises increased awareness in high-risk zones such as Japan, Indonesia, New Zealand, California, Pakistan, India, Nepal, Turkey, Greece, Iran, and areas like the East African Rift and the Caribbean region.
