Ganderbal: In order to review the welfare measures and to redress the grievances, a meeting with retired Police officers was held by SSP Ganderbal Nikhil Borkar-IPS at DPO Ganderbal in which various issues pertaining to them were discussed.
The participants were welcomed by SSP Ganderbal. He assured them that police is always at their disposal and asked them not to feel isolated. Further they were assured that they are still part of Police organization and they can approach any Police officer or Police unit at any time.
Representative of Police retired officers Association put forth various initiatives they have taken to uplift the retired police officers and also discussed pending issues pertaining to them.
They were heard patiently by the Officers of District and assured full cooperation. It was also made clear in the meeting that retirees are always welcomed for their valuable suggestions and there is great respect for them in the Police organization as they have rendered a long service and toiled hard to earn a name for the organization. Various measures are taken by the Police department for the welfare of retired Police personnel and their wards.
Moreover, the retirees raised various issues in the meeting and a patient hearing was given by the chairing officer and they were assured that their demands /problems would be taken up at an appropriate level for their redressal.
The meeting was also attended by Addl. SP Ganderbal Shri Feroz Yehya-JKPS and DySP DAR Ganderbal Shri Muzaffar Jan-JKPS.
The meeting concluded good note with the assurance that such meetings will be held on regular basis in future.
