Srinagar: Intense clashes erupted between students and government forces in Sopore while students of Government Degree College Sopore held a protest march against the rape and murder of a minor girl Asifa is Kathua. Eyewitness informed Rising Kashmir that student of GDC Sopore after resuming classwork took out a massive protest demonstration inside the college premises.
The protesting students tried to march towards the market but were stopped by a team of government forces deployed in the market resulting in intense clashes. Eyewitness informed that police fired tear smoke shell inside the college premises to disperse the protesting students. When the last reports came, intense clashes were going on between protesting students and government forces near GDC Sopore.
