We can’t change timing now: BOSE Secretary
Srinagar, Nov 02: Students of 12th and 10th who are appearing in ongoing BOSE exams are complaining about the late timing of exams and have appealed the government to change the timings.
The students said that they could not write complete questions due to dark light and cold weather today as lighting system and heating arrangements are not available in exam centers.
As per BOSE schedule, the exam timings for 12th and 10th begins from 2 pm.
Today, at many exam centers the examiners had to provide students torch lights when electricity was not available.
The students said that transport facilities are not available late in the evening after they finish their papers.
“BOSE must change the exam timing to 12 noon as we can write papers in day light and also we can avail transport facilities to home after we finish the exams,” many students told KNS on phone.
Even the examiners said that the principals of schools have not installed lighting and heating systems in the exam centers despite getting money from the government for these facilities.
Many examiners also said that they reach home later after they finish their exam duties.
When KNS contacted BOSE Secretary Veena Pandita, she said that the Board has fixed such timing after giving it a proper thought.
“Since exams of many classes are going on, we have to make arrangements for exam halls and other logistics. We have fixed the timing to 2 after thinking over it properly. We cannot change timings now,” she said. (KNS)
