Ganderbal 14 Sep【KNZ】: Students Protest were held in Shuhama SKUAST University of Veterinary Science and animal Husbandry Shuhama area of nagbal In Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal District against allegedly the rape of Non-local Sixteen-year-old girl.
Students demanding justice for the victim and hanging of the culprits.
Sources said the victim is working as domestic helper in the house of university professor located near the hostel of the university.
A huge number of students from the university assembled near main gate and held a strong a protest demanding that the culprits be hanged.They raised slogans against the accused.
Students also staged a protest against laxity on the part of university.
A police force was rushed to the SKUAST University to control the situation.
A female protester said ,”we are feeling very insecure after the act.Today it happened to the girl ,tommmow it can happen with anyone.How is the university administration allowing locals to roam in university campus.There should be restrictions for the locals.
According to sources, the girl was returning home from the field after collecting clothes when Nazir Ahmad Googree resident of Shuhama Nagbal accosted her.He allegedly picked her up and took her to a forest field where he forced raped her.
Later, Dysp Hqr Mr Fahad Taq met a delegation of the Students and assured them that action would be taken in this connection.KNZ
