Srinagar, Oct 21 : Students appearing in examinations conducted by J&K Board Of School Education and Kashmir University on Sunday demanded the authorities to postpone examinations scheduled tomorrow.
A number of students called GNS and said that it would be difficult for them to appear in the examinations scheduled on Monday.
“Not only it would be difficult for us to reach the examination centers due to strike or possible restrictions in parts of Valley but our hearts are withering with pain over the innocent killings and emotional we are wrecked,” the students said and urged the authorities to postpone the examination.
Students from south Kashmir said that there would be restrictions and transport was likely to be off the roads.
“How can we reach examination centre in absence of transport and possibility of the protests,” said a student from south Kashmir.
Chairperson/ Secretary Board Of School Education Veena Pandit said that all the examinations will be held as per schedule.
As per a communication received from Kashmir University, the examination of the papers of B.G 1st semester, scheduled to be held on Monday (October 22) has been rescheduled and shall now be conducted on Wednesday (24-10-2018) . “However, all the rest of the examinations scheduled to be conducted on Monday shall be held as per schedule,” reads the statement issued by Controller of Examinations, University Of Kashmir.
