Will check facts and if Substandard material was used will blacktop the road again: Executive Engineer R&B Tatheer Manzoor assures

Ganderbal 03 August (KNZ):The Residents of Gundi Wussan area of kangan in Ganderbal District up in arms against R&B department for alleged use of substandard material for macadamization of road in the area
According to the locals, the material used by R&B deptt in blacktopping of Wussan to maangam road is of substandard quality as a result the road is developing small potholes within a couple of days of blacktopping.
They said “The Department is blacktopping this road these days and spends lakhs of rupees. However, this blacktopping gets erased even walking on foot,”
The residents accused the executing agency and Concerned site Engineer of allegedly using substandard material for road macadamization.
Locals said “We felt glad after the blacktopping work was started on our road. But now we are highly disappointed with the substandard work done during the repairs,”
They appealed Executive Engineer R&B Department should take cognizance of the matter and order a probe into it and take stringent action against the officials involved.
