Srinagar JAN 08 : A day after party president Mehbooba Mufti gave a clarion call to the youth to join her party , senior journalist and former media consultant to the state government Suhail Bukhari formally joined the People`s Democratic Party today in Srinagar.
Welcoming him within the ranks of Party, Mehbooba reiterated her belief in the potential, the expertise and the solutions the talented youngsters of the state bring forth to overcome the challenges Jammu and Kashmir is facing.
“Youngsters of the state need to rise up to the occasion and join the mission of restoring dignity, peace and prosperity to the state,” party president added.
On the occasion former Member Legislative Assembly Wachi Aijaz Ahmed Mir was also present.
Bukhari is a senior journalist, former deputy editor NewX , and has worked with top broadcast networks of the country including India Today ,Network18 and ITV in his career spanning over 14 years.
Suhail was appointed as the media consultant to the government in 2016after Mehbooba Mufti assumed the office of Chief Minister but he resigned in 2017citing personal reasons.
