Calls for expediting development works

LEH, OCTOBER 02: Extending the series of grievance redressal camps in Ladakh region, Coordinator Chief Minister’s Grievance Cell, Tassaduq Mufti today continued the redressal camps in the Nubra Valley of Leh district.
At a camp conducted at Diskit, the Coordinator took stock of various developmental works including Mini Hydel project and construction of Tingdang Nala. He asked the concerned to expedite the work on the projects for their timely completion. The non-payment of work regarding Diskit Monastery was also taken up during the camp.
Issues like construction of functional toilets at Khardungla top, construction of paid washroom at Diskit town, and vacant posts in important offices were also projected at the grievance redressal camp.
Tassaduq Mufti also convened a public darbar at Turtuk Tourist Facilitation Centre during which issues related to basic amenities, filling up of vacant posts and up-gradation of existing offices was discussed.
Vacant posts of lecturers in Higher Secondary School Turtuk, Creation of Degree College at Turtuk, up-gradation of NT office to Tehsildar Office and up-gradation of health centres to PHC was also discussed in detail.
Laying of transmission lines from mini hydel project and helicopter services from Turtuk to Leh on weekly basis was taken up with the authorities during the camp.
The Coordinator asked the officials to expeditiously work on all ongoing developmental projects so that their benefits reach the grass root level. He assured the locals that all of their genuine issues would be taken up and looked into for speedy redressal.
