RAMBAN: Deputy Commissioner Mussarat Islam has ordered suspension of a teacher after a video of students carrying gas cylinders in Government High School Chanderkote went viral on social media platforms.
“In view of the viral video on social media platforms wherein the students have been shown carrying gas cylinders in Government High School Chanderkote Zone Batote, sanction has been accorded to the constitution of a Committee headed by Additional Deputy Commissioner Ramban and comprising of Zonal Education officer Batote and Headmaster GMC Pernote”, the order issued by Deputy Commissioner Ramban reads.
The Committee so constituted shall enquire into the matter and submit a detailed report/findings within a week’s time positively, the order further reads.
“Pending enquiry, Himayat Ali, teacher, Incharge of Government High School Chanderkote is hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect. During the period of suspension, the said teacher shall remain attached on his substantive post”, the order reads.
