Budgam, Apr 22, KNT: A teen-ager drowned to death in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Friday.
Sources said a group of youth pelted stones on the forces and when they were being chased, a boy drowned in the Sukhnag Nallah.
The incident occurred in the native village of slain LeT militant commander Yousuf Kantroo after Friday prayers.
Witnesses said that a rescue operation was launched shortly after the incident.
They said that body of the victim was retrieved in presence of hundreds of locals. They identified the victim as Shabir Ali Mir, a resident of Gund Hasi Bhat Lawaypora. (KNT)
