On 13.03.2020 Police Post Chanapora received a written complaint from oneJavaid Ah Mir S/o Ab Samad Mir resident of Muchgaam Budgam that someone stole his cheques and has withdrawn an amount of ₹38000 . On the receipt of this information case FIR No. 48/2020 under relevant sections of law was lodged in P/S Sadder and investigation was set into motion.
A special team was constituted under the supervision of SDPO Sadder, Dr. Azhar Rashid-JKPS, SHO Sadder Shri Raies Hassan, DO Chhanpora SI Syed Owais Geelani.During the course of investigation CCTV footage from the concerned bank was obtained, with the help of CCTV footage one accused namely Musaib Yaseen S/o Mohammad YaseenR/o Chanapora Srinagar was arrested and during the course of investigation and questioning the accused confessed to his crime.
The accused who used to write cheque for the complainant, taking advantage of the innocence of the complainant stole his cheques and fraudulently made withdrawals worth ₹38000.Locals of the area appreciated the swift action of Chanpora Police.KNZ
