Srinagar: Following the exclusive reportage on the alleged torture with Pulwama based Tawseef Ahmad Wani yesterday in 44 RR camp in Shadimarg, Pulwama, the Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Mehbooba Mufti visited the 27-year-old in SMHS Hospital, Srinagar.
Talking to The Media the Peoples’ Democratic Party’s (PDP) president, Ms. Mufti said, “I’ve heard about Major Shukla’s bravery, but it is not bravery when you call children at your camp and beat them ruthlessly.”
He was called in the Shadimarg camp and was beaten up ruthlessly, He was asked to hand the gun around the neck, otherwise, I will give you my gun, and kill you in an encounter.
“I’m asking the governor, and the army commanders to intervene in this matter.”
“Major Shukla is answerable to this incident, and I will take this matter to Col Commander myself.”
She also added that Mr. Wani’s younger brother is in army, “if you treat their family like this, what will happen to normal (civilian) Kashmiri?”
