Srinagar:Thousands of people Thursday attended the funeral prayers of Umar Kumhar, a 8th class student who was killed during clashes with government forces near the encounter site at south Kashmir’s Turkewangam area of Shopian district, Reports Said.
The emotions went high and people were seen wailing and beating their chest as the parents of Umar laid the School uniform shirt of Umar over his body, an eyewitnesses told Global Kashmir.
Thousands of mourners including women and children were seen wailing and crying when the body of 14 years old Umar was taken for burial, witnesses adding women and children especially his classmates showered toffees and flowers on Umar’s body.
Mohammad Umar was hit by a bullet fired by forces last evening, locals sources said, however police said he was killed in cross firing.
