Ganderbal: Noted Islamic Cleric from Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district and Member of Darul Uloom Hanfia Kamliya Gund Sonamarg Molana Kaiser Ahmad Attari son of Ab Hamid Wani a resident of Fraw Gund in Ganderbal district killed in a road mishap on Srinagar Leh highway at Bonibagh area of Ganderbal on Friday.
Officials said that the accident took place at Bonibagh Kangan in which Alto car collided with Grand i10 resulting in injuries to four persons.
They said that all four were shifted to nearby hospital from where one person identified as Molana Kaisar Ahmad Attari was shifted to SKIMS Soura where he succumbed to his injuries.
Kaisar was a religious cleric who was associated with Idara Tehqiqat Islami Anantnag and he was returning home after delivering Friday sermon in Brudegund Ganderbal area.
A veteran Islamic preacher and Naat Khawn Maulana had earned respect across the Valley particularly in his home district Ganderbal.
As soon as news about his death spread a pal of gloom descended at deceased residence after his body reached his locality at Fraw.
Eyewitnesses said everyone mourned his death as women were wailing when the body reached the village.
Thousand people participated in the prayers led by Moulana Irshad Hydari Principal Idara Tehqiqat Islami Anantnag and he threw light on the contribution of Maulana Kasier Ahmad Attari in religious institutions.
Meanwhile The death of Cleric was widely mourned various religious, social and political organizations have condoled the sudden demise of Molana Kasir and called it a big loss of Muslim ummah in Jammu and Kashmir.
Civil Society Tehsil Gund expressed deep grief and sorrow over the demise of Molana Kasir Civil Society Gund paid rich tribute to the deceased for his religious, educational and social reform services in Ganderbal and its adjacent areas.
Molana Khurshid Ahmad a Member Darul Uloom Hanfia Kamliya Gund Sonamarg said Molana Kasir was not only an experienced and ideological Cleric but also among the founding members of the Darul Uloom Hanfia Kamliy.
Jamia Committee Markazi Hanfia Jamia Masjid Shreef Gund in a statement said that his teachings wil never be forgotten and the death of Molana Kaiser has left a void in the area which is very difficult to fill now. Thay said Molana Kasir was an outspoken preacher who used to give straight and authentic speeches all the time.
It is pertinent to mention here that on social media, people across Kashmir have been condoling the demise of Maulana Kasir and have been praying for his soul.
