Ganderbal 07 April (KNZ):Police on Saturday afternoon identified both the militants killed in the encounter at Imam Sahib Shopain yesterday. One of them was a local, Rahil Rashid urf Adnan Baie of Nunner Ganderbal while the second was identified as Bilal Ahmad of Shopain. Police said the duo was affiliated with Hizibul Mujahideen
Local sources said the body of Rahil Rashid was handed over to his family on Saturday 11 Pm, after which thousands of people participated in his funeral prayers in his native village today Morning
Local sources said that soon after the body of Rahil Rashid was handed over to his family, thousands of people including women reached the family’s home to offer condolences.
Several youths took the body of Rahil on their shoulders and marched through different lanes of the locality shouting anti-India and pro-freedom slogans.KNZ
