GANDERBAL 25 Sept【KNZ】:Three Days road Safety Program which was organised by Ganderbal Police Concluded On the occasion SSP Ganderbal Fayaz Ahmad Lone was the chief guest.
In view of the Road traffic accident in the recent past.Ganderbal police have started three days traffic awareness program on Saturday on the direction of SSP Ganderbal Mr Fayaz Ahmad Lone, interacted with drivers, Conductors and passengers at Manigam crossing in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal District
During Interaction, the purpose of launching this programme was to emphasize on the civil society to be aware about their own safety while travelling, not to allow the drivers of vehicles to talk on mobile phones while driving or allow any rash driving, inform the police, if the driver of the vehicle is believed to be under age, ensure better condition of the vehicles, and District/Traffic Police shall also ensure to enforce Motor Vehicle Act strictly to avoid traffic accidents in this District
On this occasion, pamphlets highlighting preventive measures to be taken care of to avoid fatal road accidents viz. Obey Traffic Rules, Maintain gap between vehicles while driving, Never use mobile phone while driving, Always use protective head gear while driving a two wheeler, Always wear seat belts while driving, Avoid use of dragon lights, Avoid rash / negligent driving, Avoid drunken driving, Avoid use of multi-tone emitting horns, Avoid over loading, Avoid overtaking at blind curves .
