Handwara, May 30 (KNO): Three medical shops found violating prescribed norms in Handwara were barred from selling drugs till registered pharmacists are not available in shops.
They have been directed to produce the valid documents and along with authorised pharmacists registered with the drug department.
According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Drug Inspector Handwara Ishtiyaq Ahmad Tuesday late afternoon inspected some medical shops operating in violation of the set guidelines following complaints.
He said the violators were found running without registered pharmacists.
A few more shops, the inspector said, were also asked to shut their operations given that their registered pharmacists were not present which is in violation of the guidelines.
“No sale of drugs can be made without the presence of a qualified person. In violation even the licence can be suspended. As of now only sales have been stopped. But they have been directed to produce relevant valid documents along with registered pharmacists.” he said—(KNO)
