Srinagar,April 20 (KS):-The
traffic on Srinagar- Jammu highway has been restored after it was closed for traffic due to a major landslide in Hingni area.
An official told Kashmir Scroll that road was blocked due to major landslide at Hingni, Nachlana area of Ramban, however, men and machinery were pressed into service and road has been cleared.
He said that traffic has been allowed from both ends, however, he advised people to maintain lane discipline.
The Jammu- Srinagar Highway is the lifeline to the landlocked valley as all the food and other essentials are transported through this road.
“After clearance of debris passenger traffic released from both ends on NH-44. People are advised to keep lane discipline,” Jammu and Kashmir Traffic police said—(KS)
