Srinagar, May 04 (KS):- Two persons lost their lives while five others were injured in a fire mishap in Ramban district.
An official told Kashmir Scroll that two persons died while fire were injured in a fire incident in Hotel Maa Shanti at Sanasar, Ramban.
He said that all injured were shifted to hospital for treatment while further investigation has been taken up.
Meanwhile DC Ramban has ordered magisterial inquiry headed by ADC Ramban.
“Sh. Harbans Lal Sharma, JKAS, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, is hereby appointed as Inquiry Officer to look into the fire incident that occurred in Hotel Maa Shanti, Sanasar, Ramban, in the early morning hours of 04.05.2023, and led to the death of 2 persons and injury to 05 others.” Reads the order, a copy of which lies the Kashmir Scroll.
“The Inquiry Officer shall be assisted by Sh. Vijay Kumar, Tehsildar (Executive Magistrate 1st Class), Batote, and Sh. Sahil Bandral, Assistant Director, Fire & Emergency Services, Ramban.” It reads.
“He shall investigate all aspects that lead to the fire incident in the aforesaid hotel and submit his report/ findings along with recommendations by 11.05.2023 positively.” It reads further.—(KS)
