Ganderbal 07 Aug (KNZ):To eradicate the menace of Drugs from the society and taking Stringent action against the Drug Peddlers, Ganderbal Police apprehended Two notorious Drug Peddlers alongwith Contraband Substance in the jurisdiction of PS Ganderbal & PS Sonamarg.
Under the directions of SSP Ganderbal Shri Nikhil Borkar-IPS, the Police Parties led by SHO PS Ganderbal Insp. Manzoor Ahmad & SHO PS Sonamarg SI Fayaz Ahmad, under the supervision of DySP Hqr’s Ganderbal Shri Gh Hassan-JKPS & SDPO Kangan Shri Muzaffar Jan-JKPS arrested two notorious Drug Peddlers in their respective sub-divisions.
In the jurisdiction of PS Ganderbal, the Police Party at Saloora Naka Ganderbal apprehended one notorious drug peddler namely Waseem Ahmad Bhat @ Kulcha S/O Gh Mohammad Bhat R/O Wanipora Saloora.During his personal search,33 strips of Doltemm-100, banned drug was recovered & Seized.
Meanwhile, under the jurisdiction of PS Sonamarg at Naka Shutkadi, Contraband substance Poppy Straw was recovered & Seized from the accused who disclosed his identity as Manzoor Ahmad Reshi S/O Ab Rehman Reshi R/O Haripora Bonzail Kangan, moreover the Vehicle used in the crime Alto-800 bearing Regd. No. JK04E-9332 was also seized. Both the accused got arrest.
In this regard, Case FIR No.s 223/2023 & 15/2023 under relevant sections of law were registered in PS Ganderbal & PS Sonamarg respectively and further investigation has been taken up.
The swift action by Ganderbal Police has been applauded by the general public. The strict legal action against drug peddlers will be continued in future also. People are requested to co-operate with J&K Police in eliminating the severe menace of drugs from the society.KNZ
