Srinagar, Feb 05 (KNO): Two militants and a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) man were killed in a brief shootout while as a militant waa captured alive at Lawaypora area on Srinagar outskirts.
A top police official told the wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that the brief gunfight broke out after the militants fired upon the naka party in Lawaypora area this afternoon.
Three militants were travelling on a scooty and were asked to stop by the naka laid by CRPF at Lawaypora.
“The militants opened fire and in the shoot out, a CRPF man and two militants were killed while as third militant managed to flee in an injured condition,” a top police officer told KNO.
During the search operation, the injured militant was captured alive. ” The identity of slain and the one captured alive is being ascertained,” the officer said.(KNO)
