Srinagar, Sep 11: Two militants were killed in a gunfight at Khudwani area of Kulgam on Monday wee hours.
“Acting on a tip off about presence of militants a joint team of Army and SOG cordoned off Khudwani area of Kulgam around 3:00 am today.
As the joint team of forces intensified the searches, the militants hiding in the area opened fire triggering off an encounter”, a police officer said.
The officer said that two militants were killed and one OGW was arrested.
He identified the slain militants as Sair Wani and Dawood Illahi both were affiliated with HM.
