Srinagar, December 4 : Two militants were killed in a gunfight which triggered in south Kashmir’s Qazigund area Monday, police sources said.
DIG south Kashmir confirmed the killing of two militants however he did not identify the deceased.
Meanwhile, local sources said that a civilian identified as Suhail Ahmad Khan (29) son of M Yaqoob Khan was injured when forces opened fire on protesters near the gunfight site.
Suhail a resident of Badragund locality was hit with bullet on his back however according to hospital sources he was stable.
Earlier massive clashes erupted near the gunfight site during which forces used force to disperse the protesters who were trying to disturb the operation against the militants.
