Srinagar, Apr 25: Two persons allegedly involved in anti-national activities were booked under Public Safety Act (PSA) in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir.
A senior police officer told Kashmir Scroll that two OGWs identified as Mohd Rafi S/O Mohd. Munawar Bhat R/O Poochal Kishtwar and Ghulam Qadir Ganoo S/O Rustam Ganoo R/o Tander Dachhan Kishtwar
were previously booked in different FIRs.
In view of their continuous involvement in anti national activities and simultaneously motivating the youth of Kishtwar for joining banned organisations, it becames manidaitory to booke them under PSA and save the youth of kishtwar from indulging from such anti national activities, he said.
After obtaining PSA orders SSP Kishtwar Sh. Khalil Poswal-JKPS constituted
different teams led by Insp Abid Bukhari, PSI Rahul Sharma & PSI Deepak Choudhary under the supervision of higher ups and arrested them from different location of kishtwar and further lodged them in Kathua Jail, they added.
SSP Kishtwar Sh. Khalil Poswal-JKPS while sharing the details conveyed that Kishtwar Police is working on multipronged strategy to deal with the problem of anti national elements on one hand awareness programs are being organized in every nook and corner of the district on the other hand, and now every anti national element/ anti social element shall be booked under PSA
SSP Mr. Poswal-JKPS while giving tough message for OGWs/Anti Nationals elements added that there is no space for anti national activities in Kishtwar. OGWs should shun the path of spoiling our generation and must return to mainstream otherwise they will be dealt with Iron hand the officer added—(KS)
