Two senior IPS officers to be promoted as DGs

The State cabinet is likely to promote two senior IPS officers to the DG level.
According to sources, the cabinet would give its nod for promotion of V. K. Singh (ADGP Hqrs) and Dilbagh Singh (ADGP Security) to DG level. Both are 1987 batch IPS officers.
A high-level committee headed by chief secretary has already given go-ahead for their promotions.
The cabinet would also decide on addressing anomalies in the recent cadre restructuring of JK Police gazetted service.
