On being asked about the culvert concerned JE replied that why are you concerned about this don’t call me again
Ganderbal 24 Mar (KNZ):Number of culverts have been and are being constructed unauthorisedly over escape Nallah of Padshahi Canal in Serch Ganderbal
Locals alleged that unauthorised culverts has been constructed and the concerned authorities turned blind eye towards it.
Now another Culvert is being constructed without any permission and no action is being taken
Due to construction of these unauthorised Culverts flow of water for irrigation purposes affects the farmers which can damage the crops.
Locals said Field employees of Irrigation department continuously were informed about this but they were least Concerned about the construction of these unauthorised culverts.
Sources said department has stopped giving permissions to construct the culvert long time ago for individual residents.
When this reporter asked concerned JE Altaf Hussain about these constructions he replied “why are you worried about it don’t call me again”
When contacted Executive Engineer I&FC Aijaz Keen he said provide me details and I will take the necessary action.
Sources said many employees from Irrigation Department are hand in glove with some land brokers which benefits them.KNZ
