Kupwara, Jun 4 (GNS): An under-construction residential building collapsed in Hirri Payeen village in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district this afternoon, officials said.
They told GNS that slab portion of a residential building collapsed following which police, army and locals rushed the spot and launched a rescue operation to rule out any sort of eventuality.
“Few persons have suffered minor injuries in the incident, who have been given first aid at a nearby health facility”, they said.
“A rescue operation is however still underway at the site to make sure that everyone is safe”, they further said. (GNS)
