Srinagar, October 24: Two militants were killed in a fierce gun battle which erupted in Soothu Kothair area of Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district in wee hours of Wednesday.
Reports reaching GNS said that the two militants have been killed at Soothu Kothair after gunfight erupted around 2:30 am on Wednesday.
SSP Srinagar Imtiaz Ismail Parray told GNS that two militants have been killed but there identity is yet to be ascertained.
As per sources the slain militants has been identified as Sabzar Sofi of Sangam, Anantnag and Asif Ahmad Gojri of Anantnag. But official confirmation is yet to be ascertained.
Meanwhile Internet was snapped in Srinagar after for precautionary measures.(GNS)
