BARAMULLA, Mar 25:Following the directions from sub divisional magistrate (SDM) police have booked a pharmacist in Boniyar on Tuesday for hiding his travel history in order to evade necessary quarantine process.
According to sources that, a pharmacist who had gone to Saudi Arabia had returned back to his home and was hiding his travel history from the authorities in order to avoid quarantine process.
The pharmacist was posted at Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Boniyar with a travel history of Saudi Arabia.
On the directions of SDPO Uri Mahraj Ahmad Raina a case was registered vide FIR no: 15/2020 under sections 188, 271 IPC at Police Station Boniyar, sources informed ET. However, announcements were carried out by Uri police to aware the residents not to step out of their homes in order to curb the deadly Covid 19, said sources.
Section 144 has been imposed in the district by the Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Dr G N Itoo with relevant provisions under epidemic diseases Act, 1897 and the disaster management Act, 2005 in connection with apprehended danger to human safety regarding.
Sources said that, there shall be complete ban on assembly of three or more persons for any reasons whatsoever, and from past many days people have been directed not to venture out without any solid reasons.
People have been locked down for their safety amid scare of coronavirus (Covid-19) and from past two days announcements are being made over loudspeakers so that people can stay at home for some period of time.
