Pulwama 09 Aug : Three militants killed in an encounter with security forces in Gulabbagh Village of Tral area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Acting on a tip-off about presence of militants in Gulabbagh village of Tral, a joint cordon and search operations(CASO) was launched by 42 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) of Indian Army and Special Operations Group (SOG) of state police.
As the cordon was being laid, the hiding militants fired upon the soldiers.
Three militants were killed this in the encounter.
The identity of the slain militants could not be immediately ascertained.
Authorities have blocked the internet services in Pulwama District as a precautionary measure to maintain law and order.
