Ganderbal 25 Jan (KNZ): The annual Urs of Sufi saint Hazrat Sheikh Jamal U Din (RA) was celebrated with religious fervor in Sehipora Wayil village of Ganderbal in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal on Saturday. An eyewitness said that scores of people, including women and children, visited the shrine to pay their obeisance. The maximum rush of devotees was witnessed on afternoon when devotees converged at the shrine to offer special prayers along with the recitation of Quran and Naat. According to a local resident, Gh Mohd Parray, every year devotees from different walks of life throng the shrine to pay reverence to the saint and seek his blessings. During the sermon, the preachers threw light on the Islamic teachings and life of Hazrat Sheikh Jamal U Din (RA), who devoted his life to the service of people and preaching of Islam. The urs mubarak is being observed on 29 Jumadal Ula 1441 this year. The devotees during the Urs prayed for long-lasting peace in Kashmir and sought peace, blessings and mercy from Almighty Also Dua e Majlis And Fateh khawani was offered by the devotees.KNZ
