Ganderbal July 23 : In a bid to reach out to patients especially patient with mental disorder in far flung areas of Kashmir .V care polyclinic Centre Magarmal Bagh Srinagar started an initiative of conducting health camps in far flung areas of Valley
V care polyclinic centre kick-started the initative from Gutlibagh a remote village in Ganderbal .
Besides team of mental health Counsillors, pedestrains and orthopaedics were also available in the camp .
According to orginsers around 400 patients turned up for consultation in the camp.
Main focus of the camp was child health.Hundrends of childrens were consulted by doctors and were provided free medicine.
Dr.Suhail President Doctors Association of Kashmir(DAK) was guest on the ocassaion . He said , “Far flung areas has not got access to modern health care . Camps like these are very beneficial for Local people here.Doctors fertinity should serve people living in remote areas of Kashmir ;Only then we can realise good health standard in Kashmir.”
“Prolonged Conflict in Kashmir had effected mental health of childrens and we need to pay attention to mental health of childrens .” He added.
Laila Qureshi General Manager V care polyclinic centre said they conducted this camp in farflung area beacause people have less awarness about various diseases especially of mental illness. They would continue to conduct such camps at various places in Kashmir to aware people about various health issues.
