Srinagar /21 July Executive member of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (M) and Chairman Jammu and Kashmir People’s League Mukhtar Ahmad Waza on Friday demanded immediate release of pro-freedom leaders and activists saying “hundreds of innocent youth detained under frivolous cases are languishing in jails and police stations across the valley and most of them are detained under infamous PSA”.
Waza in a statement issued here blamed the state administration for pushing youth to the wall and termed it “extreme vandalism and bullying”.
“Denying political space, choking genuine voices and continuous crackdown on the pro- freedom leaders and activists is deliberate act to disrupt situation and create uncertainty in state,”
Waza expressed serious concern over the prevailing situation in borders and appealed international community to come forward in order to lower the tension between Indo pak countries.
Waza made it clear that as long as Kashmir issue was not solved as per the wishes and aspirations of people of Jammu and Kashmir, relations between Nuclear powers can not remain stable.
Meanwhile spokesman of JKPL has strongly condemned the continuous detention of its chairman, who is suffering from different ailments, and termed it as the frustration of state administration.
