Baramulla, 19 August: A week long cocoon auction market, organized by Sericulture Department Baramulla was today concluded at Zandfaran Baramulla which marked the overwhelming response of about 700 silkworm rearers from different areas of the district. Moreover about 50 buyers from different states of the country visited the market to purchase the cocoon.
Pertinent to mention that the market have been installed with a view to facilitate market to the cocoon producing rearers of the district.
On the occasion, the Dy Director Sriculture Department Baramulla Mohammad Iqbal Mirchall said that sericulture sector has a wide potential of creating employment avenues besides stressing upon the need to create awareness among the masses.
