Srinagar, July 09: Suspected militants yesterday night around 11:00 Pm barged into the house of PDP worker Abdul Majeed Dar son of Abdul Gaffar Dar of Shahgund area of Bandipora district with a intention to kidnap him.
While searching for the Dar in house his wife Shakeela resisted the attempt of kidnap bid by militants.
Official sources told GNS that there was a scuffle between suspected militants and the woman during which the woman suffered grievous injuries due to attack with knife.
She was rushed to the nearby hospital where from she was referred to Srinagar hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
A case has been registered and further investigation taken up by the police in this regard.(GNS)
