A woodcutter died while three others were injured after the trunk of a tree they were cutting fell on them in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir last night.
Reports said a group of four woodcutters were cutting a tree in Manughala forest area of Budhal last night when tree trunk fell on them, leaving them critically injured.
They said that villagers rushed for help after hearing their cries and shifted them to a nearby hospital where one of them, identified as Muhammad Mushtaq, son of Hakim Din, resident of Draman Kandi, succumbed.
The injured were identified as Nazam Din, Abdul Rashid and Mohd Akram.
