GANDERBAL, FEBRUARY 03: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal, Shyambir today convened a meeting of officers to discuss work plan for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2023 (SANJY) in the Conference Hall of Mini Secretariat, here.
At the outset, brief discussion was held on various developmental works that need to be upgraded like construction of steel bridges at various locations enroute Yatra tract, manpower, augmentation of health services, toilets, flood protection works, parking areas, mobile connectivity, transport service, contingency plan and other related arrangements to ensure foolproof SANJY-2023.
While discussing the mobile connectivity plan, the DC directed telecom companies (BSNL & Jio) that a plan should be submitted well in advance highlighting the steps taken for capacity augmentation especially at Base Camp Baltal and enroute Yatra tract from Domail onwards to catter the maximum footfall during yatra period.
The DC directed all the line departments to submit a detailed report of works that need to be upgraded at an earliest so that an action plan is framed accordingly.
On the occasion, the officers also shared their last year experience with regard to arrangements for SANJY and gave valuable suggestions for further augmenting the essential services for conduct of smooth Yatra.
After a detailed discussion, the DC gave necessary instructions to all the departments associated with Yatra via Baltal route for submitting action plans of concerned departments with priority of works that need to be upgraded to further augment the various essential services during Yatra period.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani; ADC, Mehraj-ul-Din Shah; CPO, Irfan Giri; ACD, Dr Bashir Ahmad, SDM Kangan, Javaid Ahmad Rather; ACR, ACP, SE R&B, DySP HQ, Executive Engineers of various wings, DFO Sindh Forest Division and Officers of other line departments.
